Every account gets exactly one company, created right now. Choose a name that isn't already taken.

Where your company is located — it sets your wages, your weather, which government you deal with and how far you are from everyone you trade with. You can relocate later from Settings, and your first two moves are free.

Distance matters for trade: buying physical goods from another country is set to use up cargo, more of it the further away the seller is. Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey have the most close neighbours. Australia and Brazil are far from everyone, so importing costs them the most.
